Overview: Under this intervention, a commercial accommodation (including hotels, motels and inns) may be approved to be used for isolation and quarantine so long as the commercial accommodation adheres to the Standards for Commercial Accommodation during COVID-19. These Standards outline standards for general cleaning, staff health and communication, and procedures for checking guests in and cleaning after check-out. This intervention aims to provide people with a place to self-isolate or quarantine if they do not have a permanent home or if they are returning from travel and do not wish to infect members of their household.
