Overview: 1. Queensland Health announcement (by Dr Jeannette Young, Queensland Chief Health Officer) of first confirmed COVID-19 case in Queensland, a 44 year old Chinese national, isolated in the Gold Coast University Hospital, who had returned from Wuhan (Hubei Province).
2. ADVICE CHANGES:
a) All contacts of any confirmed COVID19 cases must self-isolate for 14 days post exposure;
b) Travelers returning from Hubei Province of China need to self quarantine 14 days after leaving province.
c) Contacts of any confirmed COVID19 case should not attend school, childcare or TAFE for 14 days post exposure
d) Returned travelers (including students, teachers and anyone working or attending these facilities) from China (and Hong Kong) should not attend school, childcare, or TAFE for 14 days after leaving China (or Hong Kong).
3. Announcement: Chinese football team and their support staff (32 individuals in total) who arrived in Brisbane on January 29, 2020 asked to remain in their hotel rooms until 5 February 2020.
