Overview: The Korean government took measures to prevent transmission of COVID-19 during the 2020 election for its national legislature, the National Assembly.

Citizens in self-isolation on election day were required to walk or drive to polling stations to avoid using public transport. Dedicated polling stations for those in self-isolation were set up.

Social distancing was also enforced at regular polling stations, with poll staff dressed in PPE and temperature checks conducted on voters.

In polling stations, the government also provided protective equipment such as disposable gloves for voters.
