Summary of Panel 4: Developing an approach to international science advice

Panellists considered what can be achieved multinationally that could not be done by individual countries. The following questions were debated and discussed:

What would be the added value of a network of senior science advisors, both in the international arena (global issues) and to individual countries (peer support for domestic issues)? 

Developing a common approach for giving advice multi-nationally to international bodies: What is the place of a multi-national approach for science advice? 

What issues necessitate multi-lateral thinking?
