The first workshop on science advice in the African region — February 26th to 27th 2016 in Hermanus, South Africa preceding the Inter-Academies Panel Annual General Meeting and in collaboration with the Academy of Sciences of South Africa.
– November 4th 2015, Budapest, Hungary
On November 4th 2015 in the margins of the 7th World Science Forum (WSF) held in Budapest Hungary, INGSA convened a seminar of practitioners and thought leaders in science advice to governments to discuss one of the most significant challenges in science advice practice: the provision of science advice at the international level. – A global conference for leading practitioners Auckland, New Zealand August 28-29, 2014
The 1st international conference on science advice to governments was convened by Sir Peter Gluckman in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2014 at the request of ICSU. This landmark gathering highlighted the common challenges faced in science advisory systems across the globe and often address as well as the issues that have a global dimension. At the end of this conference, there was a clear call for closer collaboration and a continuous dialogue among science advice practitioners. These conclusions resulted in the formation of the INGSA network under the aegis of ICSU.
